Make 2014 Your ‘Year Of Giving’
Many folks are generous around the holiday season but just as that egg nog has an expiration date, so does some people’s desire to give. It’s easy when presented with a sad puppy or hungry child to feel the urge to pitch in. However long after the marketing blitz has faded, there are still sad puppies and hungry children.
Now that your ambitious resolutions are beginning to wane, why not take a step back and set some realistic goals for this year. Why not make 2014 the year you commit to giving more. Not just money. More of your time or more importantly your attention, to a cause or causes that are important to you.
Here are a few tips to keep you on track to do a little good, all year long:
Start Local
Volunteering locally not only helps those in need, it makes where you live a better place. It’s what they call a “Win-Win” I believe. You also get that instant gratification that may just keep you coming back. You can search for opportunities near you by clicking here.
Run For A Reason
Still keeping your resolution to run more? Great! Why not raise money for your favorite charity at the same time. CharityMiles.org lets you do just that. BAM! :::Mind Explosion:::
Make it Rain
